Past Toronto’s CN Tower: The Largest Structures in the World

In a couple of weeks I’m headed to Canada for the first time, specifically Toronto. Shamefully, the three things I know about Toronto are the following: Blue Jays, Raptors, and the CN Tower. Shame on me, right? How could I be so neglectful to my neighbor to the north? During my four nights in Toronto, going to the top of the CN Tower is one of my priorities. Although I’m afraid of heights, I love a great skyscraper as well as seeing a city from above. In this guest post by Simon Zedd, the five tallest buildings in the world are profiled. Sadly for the USA, inventor of the skyscraper, this list is dominated by Asia and the Middle East.

Tsukiji Market: Size Does Matter

If there is something billed as “the world’s largest,” you can bet I’m going to see it. I’ve seen the world’s largest pecan, rattlesnake, and roadrunner. All three, although impressive, left me underwhelmed. So when I found out that I would have 24 hours in Tokyo, I figured I must see the world’s largest seafood market.
