Who doesn’t like to win stuff, especially when it’s totally awesome?

Well, with the New Year, I thought it would be a good thing to give something away to thank y’all for giving me your time and support in this new venture. Subway-Sign immediately came to mind as the perfect giveaway!

A couple years ago I became obsessed with having a custom-made subway sign. I scoured the Internet, but everything I found was crazy expensive. Then I ran across Subway-Sign.com. As I navigated through the site, I was impressed with not only the options and quality, but also the value. In a matter of minutes, I’d created and submitted my order. It wasn’t an hour later, on a Saturday evening no less, that I got an email from Chris Peters, owner of Subway-Sign. She’d already created a mock-up of my sign!

We chatted back and forth over email, and I found out that Chris, now living in Idaho, lived in West Texas for 15 years! Small world. Chris retired from Well Fargo where she was a trust officer, but was inspired to start Subway-Sign in 2010 after creating a sign for her daughter’s first house. From the beginning, the idea behind Subway-Sign has been to make available affordable subway sign art to others for their enjoyment in their homes or offices.

Pretty cool, yes? Chris remembered me and agreed to sponsor this, my very first giveaway. Lucky for y’all (and me)!

Subway-Sign is giving away one, 20 X 30 custom-made, unframed photograph sign.

That’s right, CUSTOM! That’s a $45 value, and Chris is even throwing in shipping, but only to US addresses. Living in Croatia but have a buddy living in the US? You can still win. It will just be shipped to your friend’s house.

You can have whatever theme you want on your custom subway sign. Check out Chris’ gallery here for some inspiration and here to find out how to customize a sign. The winner will be chosen at random.

All entries must be submitted by midnight (PST) on Monday, February 6. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, February 7 on our Facebook pages. Only one entry per person.

If I ordered a Subway-Sign, I would want it customized to go into my new office. Todd and I just started our own business called Spitzer Animal Health. We are building an office and storage area that should be completed this week! I think the sign would look great with our company name, established date, etc. on it.

I'd either have to do a bunch of the neighborhoods here in Seattle where I live, or maybe a collection of the places that are special to our family, where we've lived/traveled/etc. I'd have to think about it!

Awesome giveaway, Leah and Subway-Sign. Not sure what the final content would be but gut reaction was streets where I have lived or cities where I have lived. Would love it to be a record of sorts of my life. Also toyed with top places I have been to but it may be hard to limit that list. Hope to see many more sign up for this and read about their ideas - but hope that I win ;)

I'd put the subway stops in Philly on it because that's where my mom's side of the family is from. It would sit next to the fire place. It's the perfect spot for it.

I want one! It's hard to decide what I would put on my custom made subway sign. Here are some options: 1. Favorite subway stops in NYC 2. Favorite places I've visited in Costa Rica 3. Names of all the pets I've ever owned 4. streets in SA-where I am from 5. pasture names of sonora or juno ranch--- I'd probably do this one : )

First of all, I am now in love with these subway signs. Secondly, one would go quite well with my home decor; it would perfectly match my living room. That being said, I probably would list my favorite sites/neighborhoods in Rome. It's pretty much my favorite city in the world. Although I really do like the example sign you used in this post.... Mine would say: Las Vegas, Kona, Kappa, Marathon Fl, Punta Cana, Kona. Its the places me and my wife have traveled in that order.

I absolutely love these signs and my bare walls are begging for some decor! I would list my favorite places I've been, to inspire future travel. What a wonderuful gift idea too- I am going to have to remember this around Christms time.

I would love to have streets and towns of West Texas on my sign. Not sure how to organize them on the sign, but would figure it out if I won. I would like to show towns and streets especially ones around TTU campus. I am I diehard TTU fan and love living in the country....

If I won this sign I would put street names that were important to me: the street I grew up on in Oklahoma and Texas; where I've worked; a street name on Disney World property... etc. Thank you Subway-Sign and Leah Travels. What a great idea!!!

If I win (and I better win Leah) I would put all the favorite places I have been. Denver, Amsterdam, Bruges, Boston, NYC, Napa, Orlando, Vail, Austin, St Maarten, New Orleans. Then I will order a second sign with all the places I want to go.

Well this is easy for me. I would want the sign for Kimberely my daughter. She has been bitten by the travel bug. She is only 18 but has travel a little thanks to friends and family. She has a bucket list a mile long of the places she wants to go. Laos, Bora Bora, Bali, Africa, South America. I think I would put 10-15 places of where she wants to go so she can hang it and it be a reminder to her of her goals and dreams. And it be a focal point for her to stay focus and she can reach those dreams. I would have ever put Texas at the bottom to remind her of her home and hope that is where her heart will always remain no matter where she travels or lives.

My 10 year anniversary is this year; most likely I would put the places we have been together on the sign for our anniversary. Or we just had a baby and I am very intrigued by the signs that were done for the lady with two sons that have been mentioned on the fb page so, I might do something Jaxton related, if I could see those signs larger.

Wow! There are so many cool ways to go with this. I think some of the coolest places I have been: Fenway Park, München (Munich), Ayer's Rock, Grúdlann Gheata Shan Séamuis (St. James Gate Brewery), Notre Dame... Good times!

I am torn between two gifts - one selfish, and one not. My first choice is the Texas Aggies' sign you have on your Facebook page. He's a proud Aggie! The other thing I would choose is a family sign with our names, the name of our town, the towns where we were born, and our parents and grandparents names and towns. This is such a fun giveaway! I definitely know what I'd use this for. About a year and a half ago, my husband and I went to Spain together. Not only was it a beautiful 10 day trip - our first international trip together which held much significance for us - but it was for my best friend's wedding. She had battled breast cancer already for two years and was determined to have the best wedding ever. The wedding was sensational (in a castle!) and we got to travel all through Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Gandia where the wedding was. My beautiful friend passed away a few months ago. I'm constantly reminded of that trip and how much fun she had, how beautiful she looked, and how happy we all were. I would love to use this to remember the good times we shared those two weeks.
