These Five Attractions Prove You Don’t Need Kids to Have Fun in Orlando
Leah Walker January 25, 2017

Tell your friends that you’re headed to Orlando, and they’ll probably imagine you snapping selfies with Mickey Mouse and Sleeping Beauty. There’s no denying Orlando is the Theme Park Capital of the World, but that doesn’t mean you have to rent a pair of kids to have a good time. In fact, Orlando is home to a long list of adult-friendly and even adults-only attractions geared towards couples, parents, and solo travelers. These five attractions are just a handful of the many that prove you don’t need to have to kids to have an unforgettable time in this Central Florida city.

Universal Studios’ CityWalk

An adults-only trip almost always means a night or two on the town. Choose an IHG hotel near Universal Studios CityWalk, and you’ll be within walking distance of singing karaoke at Rising Star, sampling cocktails at Fat Tuesdays, or snacking on sushi at the Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar. CityWalk is a must-visit place for Orlando visitors who don’t have a curfew.

The Epcot World Showcase

If you were actually visiting Orlando with kids, the Epcot World Showcase would probably be the place they didn’t care to visit. Because you don’t have little ones tugging on your shorts and begging to ride It’s a Small World, you can head to Epcot’s World Showcase to explore 11 countries without the crowds associated with the more crowded areas of the park.

Here you’ll find boat cruises, shows providing overviews of the countries, and more mouth-watering meals than you’ll be able to cram into a single visit. You can shop, dine, and even drink in Italy, Japan, Morocco, France, Norway, Mexico, China, and several other countries. Don’t miss the Drinking Around the World challenge.

Boggy Creek Airboat Tours

Traveling without kids doesn’t mean you should avoid Orlando’s most action-packed attractions. Boggy Creek Airboat Tours will lead you into the postcard-worthy wilderness of Central Florida’s Everglades, where you can admire turtles, rare birds, alligators, and other wildlife while gliding across the water’s surface in a 17-passenger airboat. You’ll cut through walls of tall grass while your U.S. Coast Guard-certified captain and guide introduce you to the beauty and natural treasures of the Everglades.

Sanctuary Salon and Med Spa

The Sanctuary Salon and Med Spa is the number one place in Orlando for an over-the-top day of pampering. Known for offering the best and most luxurious spa treatments in Orlando, the Sanctuary Salon and Med Spa combines the highest quality products with relaxation services and treatments dedicated to providing wellness for the body and mind.

The Mall at Millennia

You don’t have to spend your money on Mickey Mouse ears during your next trip to Orlando. Instead, you can spend it at your favorite designer boutiques. The Mall at Millenia is Orlando’s major upscale shopping center, with an impressive collection of the hottest luxury brands, including Gucci, Burberry, and Jimmy Choo. The kid count is low and the fashion level is high at this ultra-chic Orlando shopping staple.

Orlando locals know their city offers so much more than thrill rides and water parks. Once you visit without the kids, you’ll find yourself considering Orlando as your go-to, adults-only vacation destination in the heart of the Sunshine State.
