Merry Christmas from Rome

Christmas 2010 was spent in Rome, and what a magical place to be. This is a view from the Villa Borghese gardens over Piazza del Popolo, literally “people’s square.” In the distance, you can also see St. Peter’s Basilica. I arrived just hours before taking this picture, and much to my surprise (and all the Romans in the park), it started to snow. A local told me it had been at least 25 years since Rome had seen snow. Magical indeed.

I want to wish you all a wonderful Christmas filled with family, friends, and fabulous food. Thank you for taking the time to read what I have to say. To me, that’s the best present I could receive.
